Our Network Cameras Offer Sophisticated Solutions to Your Surveillance Problems

CCTV is everywhere.  Hell, we even have one outside our own office (actually the only reason is so that we can show a working system to you).  Anytime you want to see how bad the traffic is at one of the quietest villages just outside of the M25 (except during school bus time), have a look below.

The camera is easy to install as it can be sited wherever it is needed and is connected via standard CAT5 cable into your network.  We don't even have to wire mains to the camera because with the latest PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology, we can provide the power from the switch.  No co-ax is needed with any of the problems of signal degradation, multiplexers, grainy CCTV monitors and expensive (and problematic) time-shift video recorders.  The camera is configured so that you can view the image on your computer screen from anywhere in the world should you so wish.  It can be password protected or open to the world.  But this is where the fun starts!

Have the video images uploaded to our colo servers
  • The images are off your site, so if equipment is stolen, the evidence is still available (unlike one of our clients who had a lesser system, upon the burglars finding the CCTV, they stole that too and all the images taken were lost).
  • Another advantage of having the video image stored elsewhere is that if there is any internal risks, this stops the images being interfered with.
Motion detection will only record actual events
  • The camera does not record 'nothing'.  If there is no movement, it stops recording.  When something moves into frame, it starts recording.
  • Saves your time in finding the section of video you actually want to see
  • We can set up 'masks' so that if the camera is covering an entrance lobby for example with high traffic but you want to know who is taking a restricted door, it will only record when it detects movement within the door area.
You can use pan/tilt/zoom cameras
  • Scan large areas with just one camera, for example a warehouse
  • Zoom in on particular images
  • The cameras, unlike old fashioned boxes on poles that move around, are contained and rotate within the housing.  This means that potential targets never know where the camera is pointing at any moment in time thereby reducing incidents further.
  • Some of the cameras have optional long range lenses which can provide clear detail at considerable distance.
  • There are options for Infra-red and Night Vision cameras so that you can see movement and identify targets in total darkness.
The cameras can be connected to a speaker and microphone
  • Listen to what the people you are watching are saying
  • Use the camera as an entry system whereby the person being viewed can identify themselves to you.
  • You can talk to them if you wish, right from your own PC!
The cameras can control other devices eg. Door Entry systems, lights, sirens and send emails
  • A visitor can press a 'Call' button which brings the camera picture up on your computer screen. You can then talk to and hear the visitor and if appropriate, release the door lock, all from your desk, wherever it is in the world.  For example, a visitor can come to your office and you can release the locks to let them in when you are on holiday in the Costa Del Sol.
  • The camera can set off flashing or strobe lighting as a warning to potential threats to keep away.
  • The camera can send alerts by email, SMS or other means (eg. siren) to let you know when something is happening that should not be.
We are sorry, but we really can not have you releasing our door locks.  But so that you can see how this is done, we have in the top left corner a strobe light.  You can press the button to make it flash.  But this could be connected to locks, sirens, telephones or other logging systems.

You can switch it on and off by clicking on the appropriate button above. As a further demonstration, this is password protected (to show that you can control proper access).  After you have clicked on one of the buttons below you will be asked to authenticate.  The log on details are 'camera' and 'camera' for each field respectively.
